Painting was done for a local community event celebrating veterans, vintage tractors, trains, and the history of the hobos who rode them in the first have of the 20th century in the USA.

An elderly man attending the event came up to my booth, looked steadily at the painting for a few moments, then turned to me and said, "I have that same model...it's a 1947. Mine still has the original paint. It's right over there by that green John Deere..." It was right over there by that green John Deere, about 75 yards from me,. But while its "original paint" was pretty well rusted away, I think maybe that old tractor was "part of the family" for him, and he was pretty proud of it.

This painting is done using the "batik" poured method, as demonstrated here by Linda Baker.
