From my “Batik” (aka poured) collection. I love drinking tea. And a certain friend and I have had some of the most delightful times together over a cup of it. Well, actually she was probably drinking coffee more often than tea, but...it's the fellowship that matters anyway!  This intimate little image of sunlit tea service just seemed to capture the essence of "tea time", and sort of reminded me of a teensy weensy tea set I had as a child. 

The very act of preparing and serving tea encourages conversation. The little spaces in time created by teatime rituals call out to be filled with conversation. Even the tea itself–warm and comforting-inspires a feeling of relaxation and trust that fosters shared confidences. Emilie Barnes
